Founding Editor
Philip G. Altbach is Distinguished Fellow of the Center for International Higher Education (CIHE) and Professor Emeritus at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development of Boston College. He was founding director of CIHE, 1995–2015. He has served as editor of the Comparative Education Review and of the Review of Higher Education and was Distinguished Scholar Leader of the Fulbright New Century Scholars program. He has been on the faculty at the State University of New York at Buffalo, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Harvard University and has been visiting professor at the University of Bombay (India) and Stanford University.
Editor
Hans de Wit is Distinguished Fellow of the Center for International Higher Education (CIHE) and Professor Emeritus at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development of Boston College. He was director of CIHE, 2015–2020. He is founding editor of the Journal of Studies in Higher Education, consulting editor of Policy Reviews in Higher Education, and co-edits the book series Global Perspectives in Higher Education (Brill/Sense). He is Senior Fellow of the International Association of Universities (IAU), chair of the Board of Trustees of World Education Services and publishes on—as well as advises (inter)national entities and institutions of higher education around the world about—the internationalization of higher education.
Editor
Chris R. Glass is the Director of the Executive Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education program and an affiliated faculty member at the Center for International Higher Education (CIHE). His research focuses on global student mobility, including virtual mobility and exchange. He served as the series co-Editor of the Routledge Studies on Global Student Mobility. He has contributed significantly to the field through his work on digital internationalization, particularly the role of artificial intelligence, blockchain networks, and spatial computing in the future of internationalization.
Associate Editor
Rebecca Schendel is Managing Director of the Center for International Higher Education and associate professor of the practice at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development of Boston College. Rebecca has previously served on the faculty of the UCL Institute of Education (UK) and has worked at Orphans of Rwanda (a university scholarship program based in Kigali, Rwanda), in the Study Abroad Office at the University of Maryland-College Park and at the Institute of International Education in Washington, DC.
Associate Editor
Gerardo Blanco is Academic Director of the Center for International Higher Education and associate professor at Boston College’s Lynch School of Education and Human Development. He has been a faculty member at the University of Massachusetts Boston and the University of Connecticut, where he also served as the faculty director of Global House. He has been a visiting faculty member at Shaanxi Normal University in Xi’an, China and at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Poland.
Managing Editor
Bingran Zeng is a PhD student at Boston College's Center for International Higher Education (CIHE). Previously, Bingran held the position of Chief of Knowledge Production and Communications Centre at UNESCO-ICHEI in Shenzhen, China, and worked as a Policy Consultant for the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Ethiopia through the Harvard Ministerial Leadership Program. She holds a Master of Education in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Publishing Editor
Galya Petrenko has a strong background in human rights, public policy, and international higher education. Currently based in the Netherlands, she serves as a Policy Officer for Amnesty International, focusing on the 'Rule of Law in Europe.' Her work involves supporting civil society organizations and activists, particularly in challenging regions like the Western Balkans, Russia, and Belarus. She holds a Master's degree in Public Policy with a specialization in Human Rights and Democratic Governance from the Higher School of Economics. She is multilingual, with full professional proficiency in Dutch and English, and has been actively involved in civil rights and social action initiatives, including co-founding Stichting Soyka NL.

Sasha Smith is a doctoral student in the Higher Education PhD program at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development at Boston College. Her research examines the intersections of education and incarceration, as well as the practices, pathways, and policies that support incarcerated and formerly incarcerated college students. She is honored to be working for the Center for International Higher Education at Boston College, and for the cherished opportunity to put her extensive experience as a copyeditor and book publishing professional back into practice.

Salina Kopellas is a long-standing and integral member of the Center for International Higher Education (CIHE) at Boston College. She has been with the Center since its founding and plays a crucial part in the day-to-day operations and overall success of the Center.
